Makes 4 servingsPosted May 18, 2013

Oranges originated thousands of years ago in the region from southern China to Indonesia. Sweet oranges were introduced into Europe around the 15th century by the Moors, the Portuguese, and Italian traders and explorers who found them on their voyages to Asia and the Middle East.

In the late 15th century, orange trees began to grow in the Caribbean after Christopher Columbus brought seeds there on his second voyage to the New World. In the 16th century, Spanish explorers were responsible for bringing oranges to Florida, and Spanish missionaries brought them to California in the 18th century.

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender, starting with the liquids.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. For a thicker consistency, add the 1/2 banana and extra ice. For a thinner consistency, add a bit more orange juice.
